I have been taking pictures with my iPhone for years...I really wish I had taken a class with Mary from the beginning. She was so helpful teaching us all the little tricks of the camera. "My husband and I bought our first DSLR about a month ago and wanted to learn the basics quickly so we would be ready to take nice pictures at Christmas. We contacted Mary and set up two sessions (two hours each). Mary was very flexible and patient, and she tailored the sessions to our needs and desires. For our first session, she went through all of our photo settings and showed us how the camera worked, giving us lots of tips and advice (as well as helping us choose the best settings). For our second session, we decided to spend about an hour shooting our toddler (I told you she was patient), and then I spent an hour going over the basics of Photoshop Lightroom and editing some of the pictures we had taken together. For us, these sessions provided a great foundation of a mixture of basic skills, and we feel confident in our ability to take some great pictures on our Christmas vacation! We enjoyed Mary's friendly, welcoming personality in addition to her knowledge and skill.
